Steven D. Farer is President of Farer and Schwartz, PC.  His practice is concentrated in the area of real Property,, corporate and commercial litigation, corporate and business acquisitions and dissolutions and real estate and business transactions. He serves as  litigation counsel for individuals and businesses and provides litigation support for attorneys throughout New York State. He is also Vice President and a shareholder of Worldwide Abstract Services, Inc., a Title Insurance Agency.
Steve  has lectured on behalf of the New York Bar Association as well as a host of continuing legal education providers including Lorman Enterprises and National Business Institute on a myriad of real property and litigation topics. He has also co-authored a New York Bar Association book on mortgage foreclosures.
Following graduation from the Albany Law School in 1974, Steve joined the law firm of Taub, Weiss and Rosenstein where he developed his interest in real estate law. In 1977 he opened his own law offices, where he  concentrated on all phases of real estate and banking law. He later joined the New York City firm of Solin and Breindel where he served as real property counsel. In 2007 he and Kenneth Schwartz formed the firm of Farer & Schwartz, P.C. Much of his practice is currently devoted to assisting individuals, businesses and other attorneys with real property, contract, corporate and commercial litigation matters.

 

Kenneth M. Schwartz is currently Vice President of the Firm of Farer and Schwartz, PC. Ken’s practice is concentrated in the area of transactional real property (purchase and sale) for residential and commercial properties; Business Organizations; and Private Mortgage transactions.  

Ken has lectured on behalf of the New York Bar Association as well as a host of continuing legal education providers on a myriad of real property topics including title insurance, title examination, contracts and current changes in the law.  He has also authored chapters for various New York Bar Association publications on Residential Real Estate practice.Following graduation from the Capital University School of Law in 1984, Ken joined the law office of Stephen Vinciguerra, where he developed his interest in real estate law.

In 1988 Ken opened his own law offices, concentrating on all phases of real estate law and title insurance underwriting. In 2007 Steven Farer became a member of Kenneth M. Schwartz, P.C. and the firm changed its name to Farer & Schwartz, P.C.
Believing that the client always comes first, Ken takes a “hands on” approach striving to produce the best results in the most cost efficient manner possible for his clients.  Ken mirror’s Steve’s belief that in the era of mega law firms, Farer & Schwartz  provides clients with a unique alternative for sophisticated, practical representation at reasonable cost.
